From 13 to 15 May 2026, Zhengzhou College of Finance and Economics (ZCFE) welcomed Professor Nigel O’Leary and Dr Jinke Li to deliver lectures on economic decision-making and personal development in a changing world to students from six schools across the college.

Professor O’Leary introduced game theory through the Prisoner’s Dilemma, explaining dominant strategies and Nash equilibrium. Interactive examples encouraged students to consider how individual incentives and social norms influence decisions.

Dr Li, from Swansea University, discussed the challenges and opportunities facing young people amid global economic and technological change. He encouraged students to use their time wisely, remain open to changing direction, and pursue their goals with focus and perseverance.

Together, the lectures offered students fresh perspectives on analytical thinking, personal growth, and preparing for the future.
